Integration services

The City of Savonlinna provides statutory integration services and acts as an expert in matters related to integration across various professional networks. The services are available to all residents with an immigrant background living in Savonlinna, Sulkava, Rantasalmi and Enonkoski, regardless of the reason for their migration.

You can access Integration Services at the immigrant guidance and service point Navigaattori, located at Olavinkatu 40 A.
Navigaattori hosts the city’s Integration Coordinator, Integration Instructors, and an Office Secretary (whose office is located at the Town Hall). In addition, the premises include a representative of Linnala Setlementti’s International Meeting Point and a Social Advisor from the South Savo Welfare Services County, who is responsible for promoting integration within the wellbeing services.

Immigrant

At Navigaattori, we provide guidance and advice on all matters related to your everyday life in Finland. We assist with, for example:

Residence permits and travel documents
Family reunification
Applying for Finnish citizenship
Filling in various applications and forms (e.g. employment services, school enrolment, early childhood education)
Applying for a study place or a job
Questions related to health and wellbeing
Social guidance and support in navigating public services

All our services are confidential and free of charge.
We provide services in Finnish, English and Russian. An interpreter can be arranged, if needed.

Collaboration partner

Our statutory integration work includes sharing our expertise with collaboration partners, municipal employees and other local operators. We provide advice and guidance on matters related to integration and immigration. When needed, we also organise training sessions on topics such as:

Meeting and supporting customers with an immigrant background
Using interpreter services
Statutory duties related to integration
