Welcome to Riihisaari

Riihisaari is a unique museum island in the national landscape of Olavinlinna Castle. Riihisaari – Savonlinna Museum provides permanent exhibitions and a variety of temporary exhibitions all year round. It concentrates on the history of South Savo and the history of sailing on Lake Saimaa. In the summer you can visit our magnificent museum steamships, and there is also a nice museum shop at Riihisaari.
