A Prime Destination for Groups
Situated in the scenic old town of Savonlinna, our museum is a prime destination for travel groups. Our array of exhibitions and beautiful surroundings are all within walking distance of Olavinlinna Castle, the Savonlinna marketplace, and the harbour.
Large groups are asked to call ahead before arriving. Groups of at least ten people are eligible for group ticket prices. Admission is free for everyone under the age of 18.
Guided Tours for Groups
The guided tour of Riihisaari covers the history of the Saimaa, Finland’s largest lake, and its residents, such as the endangered Saimaa Ringed Seal. In the summer, the guided tours can also visit our museum ships. The tour is wheelchair accessible within the main museum building. The museum ships are not wheelchair accessible.
Guided tours must be arranged at least two weeks in advance. To ensure visibility and audibility, we recommend group sizes under 30. Resources and personnel permitting, tours are available in the following languages: Finnish, English. - Guided tour on weekdays: 90 € + price of admission.
- Guided tour on weekends and holidays: 110 € + price of admission.
